Involuntarily ducked out of fashion week thanks to a bitch of a virus that I still haven't recovered from (you can see purple spots too, right?) London Fashion Week has blown by in one feverish dash. What a time to get sickkk. Declining invitations was painful but there's always September. That's the thing about fashion, as soon as its gone its come. So while I cannot speak of London's highs first-hand, I can tell you that I am a big fan of Marc Jacobs offering for the chilly season next time around. And while winter on top of this winter may be a slightly depressing after thought, the uptones of Jacobs collection are a real joy. A massive fan of a flash of something shiny in the day myself, I was thrilled to see how fashion's blue eyed boy struck gold with sequins and glitter. While the collection may have glanced back to the 1940's, the details were super-cute circa NOW. Socks with everything? I'm in. Jacobs is saying dowdy-glam for next October. I'm saying pass me my heavy grey wool and I'll let some sequins ease my itchy pain.
